The Rapture and End Time Prophecies
Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man. Luke 21: 36
WHY YOU SHOULD STUDY BIBLE PROPHECY
I’m often asked why is it important to study Bible Prophecy and what does it matter if there is a Rapture or not? Do you know that over a fourth of the Bible is prophecy? If it isn’t important to study then why did God the Father have so much of the Bible prophecy? Well, what does the Bible say?
Matthew 16:3 -- You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge
Isaiah 5:13 Therefore my people will go into exile(judgment) for lack of understanding
2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
We are to study to know what is going on in the world. We are to warn those around us in the hope that they will come to believe and turn to Jesus. If not now, hopefully if they are still alive after the Rapture they will remember the things they have been told and realize that it all was true and that Jesus is indeed who the Bible says he is.
Matthew chapter 5 verse 13 Jesus said “You are the salt of the earth”. Salt was used mainly as a preservative. In verse 14 he said “You are the light of the world”. We are to be salt and light. Not only are we to preach the gospel, but we are to shine a light on the things that are taking place in the world.
2 Pet. 1: 19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
There is so much falling into place today with Bible prophecy that Jesus could just actually return for his bride, the Chruch in our life time. We don’t know, so we are to be alert, we are to be watching for Jesus. Not to be standing looking up in the sky like they were when he ascended back to the Father, but to be aware of the season. To live like he could actually return in our life time while still working to fulfill the great commission.
Mark 13: 32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. 34 It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
35 “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36 If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
Prophecy is a blessing.
Revelation 1: 3Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
One reason for studying Revelation and end time prophecies especially for us today is that we can see things that were foretold more than 2000 years ago being fulfilled right before our very eyes. We can see Prophecies from the Old and New Testaments that have already been fulfilled and we can see others unfolding. What should that do for our faith and trust in the Lord. We can see that His word is true. That he is in control. That’s the main theme you see throughout the book of Revelation, for it is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Rev. 1:1The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place.
Seeing all these things coming into place does indeed bless the one who reads the words of these prophecies and also blesses those who hear it, that is those who take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Those who are followers of Christ, who are in Jesus have nothing to fear of what we are told is coming on the world.
If you have never read what the Bible has to say about what the Church calls end time prophecies, if you don’t know what is referred to as the Rapture, or what the difference between the Rapture and the 2nd coming of Jesus is, or if you're not sure if the Bible actually tells us there will be a Rapture, if you’re not sure what to believe, then start off with the Bible Lessons page. I would recommend scrolling down the Bible Lessons page. It will be a good starting point. You will have a good foundation to start with. If you’re interested in learning more then give the book a read. Like I've said before, I give you a lot of scripture. I was able to go into a lot more detail in the book than I can here on the web page.
On the Bible Lessons page I point out how the scriptures show there is indeed a Rapture, a catching up of the Church and that the Bible says it will be a Pre-trib Rapture, before the 7 years of the Tribulation, that the whole 7 years of the Tribulation is the judgment and wrath of God. I point out from the scriptures why the Rapture cannot occur on the same day as Jesus' 2nd coming. You will see that the Rapture and the 2nd Coming are not the same or occur at the same time. I believe from the scriptures that I address you will see that the Bible does teach a pre-tribulation Rapture.
I cover End Time Prophecies that relate to the time leading up to Jesus’ 2nd coming back down to earth. You will be able to see things that are occurring now and see how they relate to Bible Prophecy. Your eyes will defiantly be opened. I show where we get what is now referred to as the Tribulation will be the last 7 years before Jesus returns back down to earth at his 2nd coming and how it is referred to as the judgment and wrath of God. I also point out from the scriptures just what we are told will occur during the 7 years of the Tribulation. I also have just who the Bible says Jesus is.
You should learn all you can concerning what the Bible says is coming upon the world so you can share it with your unsaved friends and family. For our time is short.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
