The Rapture and End Time Prophecies
Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man. Luke 21: 36
Is Jesus God - Jesus, The First and the Last.
Here I’m using Revelation chapter one as the base. These are the words of Jesus. We’ll compare New Testament scriptures with Old Testament scriptures. The Bible interprets itself. This is getting deeper into the scriptures.

Jesus said he’s, the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End:

Rev. 1: 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Rev. 2 8 “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.

Rev. 22: 12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
It’s obvious, these scriptures are referring to Jesus. Jesus is the Living One; he was dead, and now is alive for ever and ever. Jesus died on the cross and 3 days later rose from the dead. We see Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters in the Greek alphabet. It’s like we would say in English, he’s everything from A to Z.
What was Jesus referring to when he said he was the First and the Last? To get more insight into what Jesus meant, all we need to do is go to the Old Testament. Remember, the Bible will interpret itself.
Take a look at Old Testament scriptures that refer to the First and the Last. And that there is only one God.
Remember, in the Old Testament when you read the English translation, “the LORD”, it is the Hebrew word Yahweh, Strongs Hebrew H3068, yehoÌ‚vaÌ‚h yeh-ho-vaw'. From H1961; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: - Jehovah, means the Lord. Jehovah is the English word for the Hebrew yehoÌ‚vaÌ‚h. There’s no J in Hebrew. Jehovah = 'the existing One' the proper name of the one true God. … That is the Jewish, Old Testament name.
Isa. 41:4 Who has done this and carried it through,
calling forth the generations from the beginning?
I, the LORD—with the first of them
and with the last—I am he.”

Isa. 43: 10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD,
and apart from me there is no savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God.
13 Yes, and from ancient days I am he.

The Hebrew word translated here, God, is 'eÌ‚l ale – Strongs H410, means, strength; as adjective mighty; especially the Almighty (but used also of any deity): - God.

When you see god with a little g, it is referring to anything that is thought to be a god. Like an angel. People often thought of angels as gods. This would include fallen angels. So, verse 10 would be saying that the LORD, Jehovah, is before all angels. This would also be saying that no angel is ‘a god’. No angel or human will become a god or a God.

Isa. 45: 21 Declare what is to be, present it— let them take counsel together. Who foretold this long ago, who declared it from the distant past? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me.

With Isaiah 45 verse 21, there is no God apart from me, God is Strongs H430, 'ĕloÌ‚hı̂ym el-o-heem'. With, a righteous God, God is 'eÌ‚l ale – Strongs H410.

Isa. 44:6“This is what the LORD says—
Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.

Here in Isaiah 44 verse 6, God, is Hebrew, Strongs H430, 'ĕlôhı̂ym el-o-heem' Plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God;

Hebrew Strongs H433. 'ĕlôahh 'ĕlôahh el-o'-ah, el-o'-ah (The second form is rare); probably prolonged (emphatically) from H410; a deity or the deity: - God,

Isaiah 43 verse 10 – 13, Strongs H410, God, is 'eÌ‚l ale – especially the Almighty. Isaiah 44 verse 6 and 45 verse 21, Strongs H430, God, el-o-heem', plural, meaning, in the plural thus, of the supreme God; Apart from me there is no God. Therefore, there is only one God. But God is el-o-heem', plural, thus more than one God. I think you know what this is meaning. Keep reading.

Isa. 48: 12“Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called:
I am he; I am the first and I am the last.
13My own hand laid the foundations of the earth,
and my right hand spread out the heavens;
when I summon them, they all stand up together.
What does he mean when he says he’s the First and the Last? We read of the LORD, Jehovah, he’s calling forth the generations from the beginning, who declared it from the distant past. Jehovah’s own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and his right hand spread out the heavens. Isiah 41 verse 4, I, the Lord—with the first of them and with the last—I am he. He was with the first generation and he will be with the last generation. Jehovah is eternal.

Concerning the LORD, Jehovah, remember, the LORD is Jehovah, we just read from Isaiah 44 verse 6, apart from me there is no God, Isaiah 45 verse 21, there is no God apart from me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none but me. Isaiah 43 verse 11, apart from me there is no savior, and verse 10, Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. Isaiah 48 verse 12, I am he; I am the first and I am the last. We see that Jehovah is our savior and redeemer, the Lord God Almighty, the First and the Last. Well, we just read Jesus saying he is the First and the Last. We’re told that Jesus is our savior and has redeemed us. With Revelation 1 verse 5 we read he has freed us from our sins by his blood. Revelation 5 verse 9 says, For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood. NKJV.

We just read from the Old Testament scriptures the first and the last is referring to God, Jehovah. Well, read verse 18 of Revelation chapter one and the rest of verse 8 of chapter two again. These are the words of Jesus.

How or when did Jehovah die and come back to life?

We see that the New Testament descriptions of Jesus is the same as the Old Testament scriptures descriptions of Jehovah, of God.

Compare Isaiah 43 verse 12 with scriptures that tell us Jesus has revealed and saved and proclaimed. Compare these scriptures from Isaiah telling us that the LORD, Jehovah, is our savior and redeemer with scriptures from the New Testament that tell us Jesus is our savior and has redeemed us.

Isaiah 43 says, 12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God.

John 2:11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
Acts 2:21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Matthew 11: 4 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: 5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
Acts 4: 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Titus 2: 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Galatians 3: 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

2 Timothy 1: 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

Compare 2 Timothy 1 verse 10, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality with what Jesus said with Revelation 1 verse 18, I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Jesus gives rewards: Let’s keep comparing Jesus and Jehovah.

Compare what Jesus said about himself to what we read of the LORD, Jehovah. Jesus gives rewards and searches the heart and examines the mind.

Eph. 6: 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do,
Mt. 16: 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.
Psalm 11:4 The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.
Psalm 17:3 Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me,
Jer. 17:10 “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind,
to reward each person according to their conduct,
according to what their deeds deserve.”
Jer. 20:12 LORD Almighty, you who examine the righteous
and probe the heart and mind,
Isa. 40:10 See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.
Mathew 24: 30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
Rev. 22: 12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
Rev. 2: 23 …. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
We just read from John, Paul and the book of Hebrews that Jesus created the heavens and the earth. Jesus laid the foundations of the earth. And we just read from 2 Timothy 1 verse 9 that Jesus is before the beginning of time. From all these scriptures we have just read, the LORD, Jehovah, is referring to Jesus. Jesus is Jehovah. Comparing scripture with scripture, that’s what the scriptures are saying. That’s what the context of the scriptures are saying.

We’ve read there is only one God. Remember above, Strongs Hebrew H410, God, 'eÌ‚l, especially the Almighty. But Strongs H430, God, el-o-heem', is plural, meaning, in the plural of the supreme God; .. The meaning is the supreme Almighty God, in the plural, only one God, but God, el-o-heem', plural. Well, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Mt. 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Rev. 1: 4 John,

To the seven churches in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

We know Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Jesus loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood. Compare Revelation 1 verse 7 and 8, Revelation 22 verse 12 and 13, and Matthew 24 verse 30.

Rev. 22: 12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Mt. 24: 30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

Jesus is, who was, He was here as the Messiah, the suffering servant. Jesus is, who is, Jesus is now at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus is, who is to come. At his 2nd coming, he is coming with the clouds, and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”

Chapter one verse 8, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Here sounds like it is referring to God the Father, but we just read with Revelation chapter 22 verse 13 Jesus said, all this was Jesus speaking, 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Jesus referred to himself as the Lord God, the Almighty, “who is, and who was, and who is to come.
