Gaza and Damascus in Bible Prophecy.

Keep your eye on Damascus and Gaza.

The whole world saw the attack on Israel by Hamas in Gaza, which is at Israels south. Hezbollah is in Lebanon and Syria. These two countries are at Israels northern border. Hezbollah has many, many rockets and missiles aimed towards Israel. They have already been firing them into Israel. Hezbollah’s weapons are more sophisticated than those that Hamas has. There weapons can reach just about anywhere in Israel. Hezbollah as been and is saying there going to attack Israel. This is now a major threat to Israel. Hezbollah has so many rockets and missiles that they would overwhelm Israels iron dome defense. Of course, both these terrorist groups are backed and armed by Iran.

Take a look at these scriptures and what they mention.

​

Isaiah 17:

​

1 An oracle concerning Damascus:
"See, Damascus will no longer be a city
but will become a heap of ruins.

​

14 In the evening, sudden terror!
Before the morning, they are gone!

​

Jeremiah 49:

​

24 Damascus has become feeble, she has turned to flee
and panic has gripped her; anguish and pain have seized her, pain like that of a woman in labor.                     

​

26 Surely, her young men will fall in the streets;
all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,"
declares the LORD Almighty.                                                       

​

27 "I will set fire to the walls of Damascus;
will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad."

​

Amos 1:

​

5 I will break down the gate of Damascus;
I will destroy the king who is in the Valley of Aven

and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden.

The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir,"
says the LORD.

​

7 I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza
that will consume her fortresses.

10 I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre
that will consume her fortresses."

​

Damascus is the capital of Syria. Damascus is one of the oldest existing cities in the world. These verses would tend to point to a future event due to the fact that Damascus has never been totally destroyed as Isaiah 17 describes. It sounds like it will be destroyed by a nuclear strike. Something interesting about Amos chapter one, we see the mention of the destruction of Damascus and Gaza in the same chapter.

We also see mentioned in Psalm 83: 5-8 the nations that border Israel. It uses their ancient names. Though they could be part of the “many nations with you” of Ezekiel 38 verse 6, could it be that there will be an attack from the nations that have a common border with Israel, from Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and Jordan against Israel before the invasion by Russia mentioned in Ezekiel, before the Tribulation and before the Rapture. If there is a pre-Russian attack on Israel Iran could be part of it or at least backing them up, with the exception of Jordan, Iran is already backing them now. Israel will defeat this pre-Russian attack. That could be why Russia winds up leading the invasion described in Ezekiel 38 & 39. We’ll have to watch and see. So, keep your eye on Damascus and Gaza.

Israel has already given up Gaza and what do they get in return for it, thousands of rocket missiles through the years fired into Israel from Gaza. And now 5000 fired in just a few days. This should show that Israel giving up land is not going to bring peace.

​

Look at what Psalm 83 says,

​

3 With cunning they conspire against your people;           
they plot against those you cherish.           

​

4 "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more." 5 With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you

​

And what Joel said,

​

Joel 3: 2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

​

What we see here from Psalm 83, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more" is exactly what we see the Islamic nations are saying and want today. And Joel 3, to “divided up the land of Israel”, forming a two-state solution is exactly what we see the nations are saying. The whole world is calling for dividing the land of Israel into two states.

I can’t go into it all now, but if you research history, you will find that the land was never the Palestinians. The Jews occupied it until the Roman dispersion in 70 a.d. We also see this from the Bible. The land was a desolate waste land until the Jews started returning after WWI. There never were an actual Palestinian people. All the middle-east was referred to as Palestine by the Romans. You know even the Koran says that Jerusalem and the land belong to the Jews. Go to Hal Lindsey’s website. He has a teaching on this. Those today referred to as Palestinians are mostly Arab refugees. Before the attack on Israel, that occurred after Israel became a nation on May 7, 1948, the Arabs and Jordanians told all those that were living in Israel to leave, so they could come in and kill all the Jews and take over Israel, then they could go back and take possession of everything. The Arab nations wouldn’t allow them back into their countries after the failed attempt by the Islamic nations to destroy Israel. 

​

With the threat that these terrorist groups pose to Israel, and with this recent attack, it just seems like Israel is going to have to do something and before these groups get nuclear weapons, especially before Iran does. That’s really obvious now. Iran’s supreme leader has been publicly saying that he wants to wipe Israel off the map and when he gets a nuclear missile, he will use it against Israel. And now Turkey is.

​

All the Nations of the world are calling for the recognition of a Palestinian state, for Israel to give up land and divide Jerusalem, convinced that a "two-state solution" will bring lasting peace to the Middle East, even a certain part of the United States government no longer really back Israel and are calling for Israel to give up land and divide Jerusalem, giving land and part of Jerusalem to the Palestinians. And you see all of this foretold in the Bible. We see in Isiah chapter 28 verse 15 & 18 this is part of the covenant that he called a covenant with death and an agreement with hell. Isa. 28: 15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; v 18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand;

​

Daniel 9 verse 27 says the man that the New Testament calls the anti-Christ will make a covenant with the Jews and the Islamic nations for 7 years only to break it in the middle of the 7 years, after the first 3 ½ years. This agreement will allow the Jews to rebuild the temple and will include dividing up the land of Israel.

​

Folks, we’re getting close. There’s just too much happening in the world today. What happens in Israel affects the whole world.

​
